Embarkation in Miami was very good we arrived at the port just before 11am and were on the ship at about 12.20pm.We travelled with 8 other people some were experienced cruisers. We were all shocked to see the last guests from the previous cruise getting off at 12 noon. The people that pay faster to the fun fees are wasting their money as they only get on approx. 10 to 15 minutes prior to the rest of the guests. The ship is very modern and is a refreshing experience compared to some of the Conquest style ships that we have been on in the past. The ship is very clean and the staff do a wonderful job of keeping it that way. We ate all of our meals at night in the dining room and found the food to be very good and offered a lot of variety even though it has suffered from previous years. The Ocean plaza is a great place to hang out at night as they have a band playing every night. The only problem I had is they blocked one side of the sliding doors on most nights preventing the open feeling of Ocean Plaza. Some of the staff claimed this was because of wind but when one pointed out there was little wind outside on that side of the ship they reluctantly opened the doors. By locking these doors this defeats the whole purpose of the Ocean Plaza. The Cruise Director Mike went out of his way to make this ship rock and needs to be commended for his efforts.

One thing that people seem very upset about is the cancelation of the past cruisers party for Gold Members .One has to be Platinum now and have a minimum of 70 cruise days to be able to now attend this party. This was a slap in the face to these Gold Members. Another sad thing is the lack of a live band in the theatre. They have replaced this with recorded music and a laser show but a lot of people still prefer the live bands. Mind you the shows presented were entertaining. Comedians were very good and their is more than enough to do on the Breeze. Most smokers and we had some miss the cigar bar as previous ships had. Smokers on this ship had to smoke outside the Ocean Plaza.

Islands visited were Antigua( 3rd world country with a very dirty cruise port), St Martin which a is a fan favourite and is a great island, St Thomas US Virgin Islands another fan favorite and the new port of Amber Cove in the Dominican. Amber Cove was built by Carnival and they have done a fantastic job. We took a taxi for a tour of nearby Puerto Plata and had a wonderful time. On arriving in Miami Carnival again did a wonderful job of getting everyone off in a organized fashion. Bottom line this was a very good cruise and was good value for the money.
