We enjoyed the itinerary and the number of sea days, however the ship, food, and activities were only average. This was our first Celebrity cruise, and when we commented to some people that it would be our last, we were told by several people to not judge Celebrity by this ship. For that reason, we may give the newer ships a chance.

Our cabin was acceptable, but the dining options were not, unless you paid extra to dine in the other restaurants. The main dining room was very large, open, crowed and excessively noisy. The food was often not hot, was overcooked, and bland. The Oceanview Cafe's dinner menu was dismal with few options. The exception was the Bistro on Five which had a nice crepe and salad selections with only a $10 per person charge.

The shows in the Main Theatre were very good. However, we love to dance to popular tunes and there was no place we could do that on a regular basis. Musicians played all over the ship, but it was only for listening. There was a place where people could dance formal ballroom for an hour, but that was not the current music or dance style we were seeking. I understand that some dance opportunities existed around midnight up in the Cosmos Lounge. We had so many opportunities to dance on other cruise lines.

Ocean View 6

Cabin 06

It was acceptable. There was enough room, storage, and bathroom was fine. It was a quiet room but being in the bow, it was a long walk to the main restaurants and lounge areas.

Port Reviews

Hong Kong

Took a tram to Victoria Peak: great views of Hong Kong. Visited Stanley Market: too crowded and salespeople very aggressive. Took a Sampan boat ride which was interesting

Halong Bay

Did an independent tour: took an overnight excursion on the Aphrodite Luxury Junk Boat on Halong Bay. It was probably the highlight of our trip.

Da Nang

Visited DaNang first and toured the Marble factory, then to the old town of Hoi An, a World Heritage town. Visited a silk factory, a Buddist Pagoda, had lunch and stopped at China Beach

Singapore

Went to Mt. Faber, Chinatown, Chinese temple, Hindu Temple, boat ride, Raffles hotel, and the Skypart (a must do)

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

We did not see some of the areas we were told we would visit, and the tour was cut short by 2 hours. The Tour Guide was poorly trained in how to lead and communicate with a group.
