Having just returned from an 11 day Canary Island cruise and read some of the most recent reviews by cruisers who went to the Canary Islands, I can't believe that we were on the same/similar cruise. Yes the ship is huge and on our cruise it was at full capacity. We never had a problem finding a table for three, no matter what time or meal we had at the buffet. Everyone was smiling and so friendly and helpful. This went for all other crew members and staff. We just had to ask and we were helped immediately , nothing was too much bother for them.

Yes at times there was a cigarette smoke smell on the casino deck, and I am very aware of cigarette smoke as I don't smoke, but it was not always there nor was it overpowering unless you were sitting in the casino.

I also agree that there is not sufficient general seating inside the ship especially on deck 5 where they have demonstrations or else videos of the next port of call.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B5

Very well laid out for the space available. PLENTY of storage space even with 3 adults in the cabin. Our cabin steward was excellent, a tribute to NCL.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We used this company for a 5hr tour before we needed to be at the airport. Our guide was passionate about his city and showed us so many beautiful sights. We never felt hurried at any of our stops. Highly recommended

Lanzarote

This is an "other world" experience. The landscape is nothing like anything I have ever seen. Once again our guide was passionate about her country and it rubbed off onto us.

We were shown as much as was possible within the short time span that we had on the island.

This company is a must if you are ever on Lanzarote.

Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)

Saw a good spread of what the island has to offer from extinct volcanoes to narrow cobbled stoned streets. It is a pretty island worth a visit. For the British cruisers the lengthy beach in Las Palmas is a big draw card.

Madeira (Funchal)

Typical HO HO bus tour of a city. Unfortunately the sound system does not work properly on the older buses so you cannot hear the commentory
