We previously sailed on this vessel when it was the Destiny and had a great cruise. Since the makeover to Sunshine, many of the features of the Destiny that appealed to us are gone. The ship was fully booked. There were insufficient staff for the number of passengers onboard. The bar service was attrocious, with long waits to obtain a drink (15-20 minutes in some cases). There were virtually no "roving" cocktaile waiters as there were on the Destiny.

The restaurant meals were marginally OK but the staff service in the restaurant was terrible. We didn't eat there the last two nights it was so poor. Rather, we ate at two of the pay for meals venues of which one was excellent (Bonsai Sushi Bar ) and one way overpriced (Farenheight 555 @ $35/person). The entrees was marginally OK but the service was slow, with many of the pre-dinner appetizers and offerings poor and tasteless.

The accomodations for handicapped people onboard was very poor and the staff reluctant to assist in any way. The Customers Service desk was grossly understaffed with long waits to accomplish any requests or resolve issues. The acoustics on this ship were terrible. They must have outfitted the communications system with slaes from Radio Shack before they went out of business - defining ly load and at time difficult to understad what was being said. Depending on where you were it was ear piercing. and frankly unhealthy.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Well worn for a supposedly just refurbished ship. Nothing spectacular. Fortunately we spent little time there, only sleeping. Not like prior cruises where there were mints on the pillows at night and a cabin rep who spoke to us virtually everyday.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Very poor accomodations for handicapped individuals. Poor boarding processes.

Half Moon Cay

A nice island with adequate facilities and lunch catered on the island. Great for kids.

Nassau

Typical tourist trap with shops with overpriced merchandise/ Nothing spectacullar to see.

Freeport

A nice port of call. Good onshore access to many venues.
