We are experienced cruisers, but this is the first time we have ever cruised with Princess. 29 members of our extended family joined us over Spring Break to help celebrate our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The staff was very helpful in making the celebration -- and the entire week -- special.

The food in the Palms dining room was very good -- in fact, the best lobster I've ever eaten. The prime rib was a bit disappointing, but the other beef dishes were very tasty. I was not terribly impressed with the quality of the fish dishes other than the lobster, but I am very particular about my fish. My daughter-in-law, granddaughters and I are all on a gluten-free, dairy-free diet and the staff was very diligent about ensuring that we had gluten-free bread, muffins, pasta and other gluten-free choices as well as special desserts prepared without dairy or gluten.

The shows in the Princess Theater was outstanding -- especially Piano Man and Bravo! We enjoyed the Voice of the Seas competition on the final night, although the way they set it up, the singer who was clearly the crowd favorite was bumped out by the three judges. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy from movies under the stars to bingo to lounging by the pool -- and the spa offered some very nice options (and great massages).

Interior

Cabin IB

The room was pretty spacious compared to inside cabins on other cruise lines (we've never been ones to spend a lot of money on our cabin since our objective on a cruise is to be out and active and NOT to be holed up inside our room) and we had plenty of closet space and hangers for our clothes.

Port Reviews

Houston

What a shame that they're closing down the Port in Baytown. Getting in and out was easy and the parking was plentiful. It was easy to park close to the entry.

Cozumel

Interesting tour and suitable for my mother, who uses a walker.

Roatan

The naturalist gave a lot of good information and it was a great tour for my parents, who have mobility issues (mother walks with a walker).

Belize City

Best ruins -- incredible. If you're only going to visit one set of ruins on this itinerary, these are the ruins to go see. Also -- there's not much else at Belize.
