Cabin: Owner's Suite

My wife and I just came off of our most recent cruise on the Explorer of the Sea. It had been 10 years since the last time we had been on that ship. RC has become a very family oriented line. We have taken over 30 cruises and find that we prefer a little more upscale ships.

We booked a Owner suite. The suite was very well appointed. However, unlike other ship with suites, this lacked the person touch that we have come to enjoy on other lines. There was not butler service, no chocolates on the pillows, no champagne and canapes only came on 2 nights. Not trying to be a snob, but if a line is trying to sell suites and try to cater to upscale clients, they should at minimum offer services that they had in the past.

The specialty restaurants were very good both in taste and service. The main dining room was a crap shot. The food was very spotty. Some night over cooked and cold, while other night okay. Service was always questionable.
