Cabin: Junior Suite

Our 5th cruise, 3rd on RC so we have a basis for comparison. The positives: our Jr Suite was terrific. Largest cabin with most storage ever. Food was good by cruising standards. Amentities, entertainment and prominade were good. Kelly the pianist and his nightly spotlight on different artists was the entertainment highlight for me.

Areas for improvement: many (not all) of the staff seemed to have an "attitude". Service in the Windjammer (buffet) was terrible every time we visited. Dirty plates not removed, table tops dirty, no beverage service, no smiles, etc. definitely not what we're used to. Not sure what the issues are. There is a new hospitality director who just came on-board. Maybe he can fix things. Food service in the My Time Dining was on the slow side resulting in some food served cold.

Over 1000 spring break children, not teens, on ship. There was a nice pool area for children but the kids took over the main pools and whirlpools. Pool drink service basically non-existent. We had a soft drink package but bartenders usually showed their displeasure when asked for a refill. Never got a final bill, tried to use the in-room TV/menu but controller would not activate this function. Went to Service Desk, everything with bill was fine but just another irritant.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Great cabin! Lots of storage and room. Bath was good.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Took a cab to 7 mile beach. $4 ea. $2 to get into Royal Palms beach club. Very nice. $10 ea for chair rental. Better than the cruise offer.

Cozumel

Hired a cab at $25 per for a 2.5 hour tour.

Falmouth

Rather dock elsewhere on Jamaica.

Labadee

One visit to Labadee is enough.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Very good service
