We flew into Santiago and stayed one night before heading to cruise port of Valparaiso on a private tour of Santiago and Valparaiso. I highly recommend this rather than a direct transfer to the port as there are quite a few sights to see along the way to Valparaiso.

Embarkation was a breeze and once we boarded around 3:00 pm we headed for the buffet as we skipped lunch due to the tour.

The first day at sea was a little rough and had to put on the sea bands. However, once the captain put on the stabilizers, everything was fine for us. Although we did see the motion sickness bags by all the elevators.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IE

The cabin steward was below average. One day he only left one towel. We shower at night, so I let her shower first and then I used the wet towel. There is a ledge in the shower, which was filthy and had to ask the cabin steward to clean it. He didn't leave enough shower gel, had to ask for more and had to ask for the hair conditioner.

Port Reviews

Santiago (Valparaiso)

We toured San Cristobal the day before and it is not to be missed.

Santiago (Valparaiso)

Great art work on buildings.

Puerto Montt

great view of the falls.

Stanley

Volunteer Point a must. Only 160 people allowed per day, so we don't disturb the natural habitat.
