We have just returned from a fortnight cruising the Caribbean on the Adonia, the baby of the P&O fleet and a lovely little ship that looks like a ship instead of a floating apartment block.
We had been on Adonia before, in 2013, and we were looking forward to being back. We were allocated cabin A006, a spacious balcony cabin on deck 8 for'ard. The cabin contained twin beds, bedside cabinets, a settee and table, a dressing table and stool and a balcony with two reclining chairs and a small table. The bathroom was small but functional, and contained a shower cubicle and a selection of toiletries. There was a lot of drawer and wardrobe space as well as a flat-screen TV and safe.
We dined in the Pacific restaurant most nights and had a table of six, as we like to mix with our fellow passengers. Some nights in the Conservatory (the self-service buffet) there were themed nights such as Asian, Chinese, Indian etc. and if we didn't want to have a set dining time we ate up there for a change. In general the food was very good, although the meals in the restaurant did tend to get repetitive after a while. Still, no-one is going to starve to death on a cruise ship, and I couldn't understand those who complained about portion sizes.
