I apologize for the lengthy review.

Flew in day before cruise and stayed at the Best Western Plus. Nice hotel with decent breakfast. Was sent an email 2 weeks before the cruise re an early boarding time between 11:30-12:30…Yahoo! There were 4 in my party: my niece, daughter and daughter’s friend, took a cab to the port for about $20.00.

Embarkation: We arrived at the port around 11:45 AM. Surprisingly, at least to me, it was quite well organized. The line to check in was quick, we were assigned a number (lucky #7) and were directed to a waiting area by Carnival staff; there was plenty of seating available. We were on board ship by 12:15 PM and that is without doubt the fastest embarkation in all my 18 cruises on various lines.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

Cabin: Comfortable cabin on Deck 2 mid-ship. My daughter and her friend were in the cabin next door. We went to our cabins have eating lunch so it was available. The cabin steward was in the hallway and she quickly came over to introduce herself. There were chuckles from both of us when I saw her name was Josie, just like yours truly. Very efficient nice lady. Oddly enough, while I was talking to her, another cabin steward went by hauling luggage. He stopped abruptly and called out “Miss Josie”! Tom was the cabin steward on my December sailing on the Inspiration. I was blown away that he actually remembered me.
