This was a 12 night repositioning cruise from San Juan to Galveston and it just flew by. We spent 4 nights in San Juan prior to sailing and stayed at the Coral Princess. The hotel was in a great location, reasonable and had a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms aren't fancy but they were clean with comfortable beds and pillows. We took a cab to the ship at 11:30 AM and found the embarkation process to be very easy. No long lines and on board by 12:30 PM.

We found the crew to be exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The bartenders were always quick and attentive regardless of whether you had purchased a drink or soda package. The casino was very active as we had 6 sea days...unfortunately we weren't that lucky but it was fun. We had booked late and weren't able to get anytime dining. Instead we were assigned late dining and decided to just eat in the buffet every night. The buffet was good and offered enough choices for us that we really didn't feel as though we missed out. We did go to brunch in the dining room a couple of times and thought it was very good. The deli, Guy's burgers, Pizza, and Mexican options along with the buffet offered more then enough variety for us during the day.

The entertainment was a little uneven but again there was plenty to choose from and we enjoyed the different venues. Our cabin stewardess, Myrene, was excellent and did a great job. Our cabin was an oceanview on deck one and we had a very smooth ride. Most of the ports we had been to before except for Trinadad-Tobago. This port really doesn't seem ready as a port of call. We spent maybe 30 minutes there and returned to the ship to enjoy the pool and water slide. Our favorite was Aruba where we took a city bus ($2.00 US) to Eagle beach. We rented chairs for $15 each with a grass roof shelter. The beach was beautiful and a very peaceful place to spend an afternoon complete with changing room, bar and bathroom facilities.

San Juan

San Juan is a great city. Transportation is easy and inexpensive via city bus. We stayed in Condado and spent some time in Old San Juan.

Took the bus to Eagle beach...great beach for an enjoyable afternoon.
