My wife and I decided to take the Eclipse for a spin. Mostly because it was 14 days and stopped at several ports we had not been to. Our previous cruises had been on Royal so any comparisons will be made to them.

We had no issues arriving at the Miami terminal. Embarkation was smooth and painless as we were greeted by some of the crew with a hello and beverages. We opted for OJ because neither one of use drink. We made our way to the stateroom without issue. The elevators did not seem crowded like those on previous Royal voyages.

The room was neat, clean and in perfect order. Since my wife and I had never been on the Eclipse, we explored the ship to find out where everything was. I want to make a special note that out stateroom attendant was one of the nicest people you could possibly meet. When he saw us walking to our stateroom, he would open and hold the door open for us. WOW! When he found out my wife preferred milk chocolate compared to dark, he placed a pile of milk chocolate on our bed.

There was never a miss with our stateroom and our attendant was flawless.
