We chose this cruise as it was a short trip up to Queensland and back. From a very easy check in to the quickest disembarkation, 5 minutes at most to walk off, collect our luggage and be walking away from the ship the holiday was very relaxing. Our stateroom was spotless and nothing was too much trouble for our stateroom attendant, he was a top person. Everyone comments on the tiny shower, but it is all the same for everyone.

All the staff were very happy and worked hard to ensure we were having a good time. There is so much to do on the ship for all ages and interests. We enjoyed the live music being played at the various bars and night spots. We really liked Kinetic and the show band. The headline acts we saw were very good, Beatnix, a Beatles tribute band were very good as were the comedy illusionist and hypnotist, good fun and lots of laughs. The Flowrider was fun to watch, next time I'll have a go.

You will never go hungry, though sometimes the food in the Windjammer was a little down market, it was all fresh and plentiful, think local pub food. The food in the MDR was very good with a different menu each day, standouts for me was the lobster bisque, the better half enjoyed the various fish dishes. The waiters were excellent and very genuine in their efforts to ensure we were well satisfied. We ate one evening at Giovannis and it was excellent, high level of service and the food top notch.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Very comfortable, mid ship, spotless. The supplied soaps and shampoo were OK, but we would take our own next time. The shower is very small.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

We traveled from Melbourne on the day of the cruise, so didn't have a look around. The train from the airport to Circular Quay is an excellent way to get to the ship. It is literally a few minute walk to the ship.

Brisbane

We took the shuttle bus into Brisbane and simply went for a walk along South Bank. We visited the Maritime Museum which was very interesting, they have a WW2 frigate as the centre piece of the display.
