Overview This is my 2nd cruise with Royal Caribbean having just been on Sovereign of the Seas August 2008. My boyfriend and I are in our early twenties and finishing up college in Pennsylvania. For our spring break this year, we decided to book a cruise since we had so much fun last summer. We looked forward to visiting Fort Lauderdale, Cozumel and Belize. We traveled with my younger sister, and my best friend.

Fort Lauderdale We flew in from Philadelphia International Airport and were in Fort Lauderdale by 2:30 pm. The flight was relatively smooth and painless. We retrieved our bags and boarded the complimentary shuttle to the rental car building in the airport. We were at the building in less than 5 minutes from the terminal. We got our rental car from Enterprise, a full-sized Honda Accord. My BF drove from the airport to the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale. We checked into our hotel and it was quite comfortable. The parking was complimentary and right in-front of the hotel so it was convenient. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and got to enjoy an arts festival of sorts right in front of the restaurant. After dinner, we stopped by Walgreens to pick up toiletries and last minute deals. We went to catch the 8:15pm showing of Watchmen. After the movie, we turned in early in preparation for the next day.

Port Everglades My boyfriend dropped us off at the port and took the rental car back to the airport. We waited for him and he was back in less than thirty minutes. Outside the port was very busy with a lot of people leaving and a lot of people going. Once we were inside, the check-in process was relatively fast. The building looked like a huge warehouse. We got our Sea Passes and were on the ship by 11:30 am.
