We undertook a B2B cruise covering 21 days in South East Asia departing from Singapore.
This is our second Princess Cruise having cruised Diamond from Singapore to Tokyo in 2014, so we know Princess well and we love this part of the world. Sapphire Princess is almost identical to Diamond which gives a nice familiarity, but you do lose the experience of "exploring" a new ship
Our cruise started on 14/2, unfortunately there was a logistic issue at the port on this date so our embarkation was delayed until the evening. Princess compensated us very well though with $150 OBC per guest, and also made arrangements for us at Marina Bay centre including access to Gardens by the Bay which made for a nice activity in the afternoon while waiting around.
First time in a mini suite and it was excellent. Lots of space which was required on a 21 day voyage. Minor issue with a smell from the bathroom but it was promptly taken care of by our very efficient steward.
A minor irritation with the mini suites is that they provide 2 televisions, one facing the bed, one facing the sitting area. The issue being both TVs are the same and given the proximity its almost impossible to change settings on one and not do the same for the other - this would make any attempt to watch different programs almost impossible I'd imagine.
These cabins on Deck 9 are immediately above the ships tenders, therefore when at tender ports you will almost inevitably be woken by the sound of clattering as the crew mobilise the tenders etc.
Singapore is excellent. Lots of things to see and do, easy to navigate
