This was the 6 th Norwegian cruise I have been on. The biggest ship I was on a few years ago was the Norwegian Epic. I had been on the smaller ships before . Their usual smaller ships. The Dawn, The Jewel and 3 times on the Sun. Anyway since they were promoting these 2 new ships a couple of years ago. Thought I would try it. I must say on the previous 5 cruises I was so impressed by the staff and the DILIGENT cleanliness!!!!.

This time I was appalled...... First of all on the other ships there was always someone at entrances to eating areas ,( 2 at each entrance to the buffett) making sure that everyone "washy washy" with hand sanitizer. This was very lacking. The one person at the entrance always seemed distracted. Also, I don"t know if it is because of all the free drink packages offered now, but we found the bar staff very unfriendly with some of the people and not with others. They were rude to my friend. Maybe the ones they were friendly with were bigger tippers. Anyway the bars were also understaffed. Service people that walk around the pools with trays were almost nonexistent and didn,t seem interested anyway.

On all previous cruises the cabin stewards always new and remembered our first names within the first 2 days. They made sure they called you by your name each time they saw you.This always impressed me. The serving staff in the 3 main restaurants cleared dirty dishes and then served our food without any "washy washy"!!!. They seemed disorganized and the service was very slow. So slow in fact we missed one of our shows we had reserved to see. Read more
