We booked our 21 day South East Asia cruise more than a year ago and after reading the poor reviews of the Sapphire Princess it was with trepidation that we went. However the cruise was first class and we can only compliment the staff on the Sapphire Princess for their friendliness and hospitality whether it was our room steward or the staff at the dining rooms or at the many bars on board.

Embarkation was delayed until late afternoon due to the port having to handle 3 ships we understand. The delay did not worry us at all as it meant we had extra time in Singapore to wander around the excellent Marina Bay Shopping Centre with its impressive canals and to compensate for the delay Princess gave us all vouchers to go the Cloud Forest where we went and wandered around the Flower dome which was very interesting. We were also given a credit of US$150 each.

Embarkation was smooth with no undue delays and handled very professionally and once on board we went to check out our balcony cabin on Lido deck 14th floor which was more than adequate in terms of space.
