I will start from the beginning. This was our 4th cruise..We have been on Carnival once, NCL twice and this was our 1st on RCL. I was a little skeptical with all the negative reviews especially with a lot of negative reviews about food. But I figured we would make the most of it and find out for ourselves. Checking in to Bayonne was a little chaotic, no order there at all and no one right there to ask amy thing, they were too busy running around.
The ship is beautiful. And this was our smoothest cruise. We were never able to get into Grande unless we wanted 9:15pm, so we never ate there, mainly because we didn't have reservations. We like to eat whenever we want. The complimentary restaurants you need reservations for. I do not like that at all. It should not be that way. They will ask you if you have one. One of them we were able to get it but we almost weren't able to.
The shows make reservations for also before the cruise. The food, we found the American Icon to be the best. We ate there 3 times and the service was excellent. Chops was also good, even though it's a specialty restaurant you still will have to pay for some things, small shrimp was an extra $10 and aged steak was an extra $21. You already pay for this restaurant and to be charged extra is ridiculous.
The virtual balcony room was very impressive. Very large with lots of storage.
The driver dropped us off at the beach entrance and you tell him what time to pick you up and he will be there. Great time here and the food was very good.
Needs improvement getting people through whem.embarking. No consistency or order.
Water is very rocky, bring your water shoes..
Love PR. Senior Frogs was a lot of fun.
