Got off a wonderful cruise to Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was our ninth cruise, all with Carnival. We have been on every other Conquest class ship, so now we can say we've seen them all.
We flew in the night before and stayed at the Hyatt Place Convention Center. Hotel shuttle was on time, and the driver was an absolute riot! He was from Trinidad, and as he avoided other vehicles cutting us off, he did an non-stop commentary on each of the drivers of the other vehicles. Example: "Dat man, he drive like he's from Barbados. He thinks he's beautiful all over, but everyone knows he is ugly on the Atlantic side!"
Hotel was great. It is highly rated by Trip Adviser, and worth the rating. The staff, from GM to housekeeper are always smiling, always looking for something to do to help, and are fully customer focused. Rooms are good sized, beds comfortable, Wi-Fi is fast, complementary breakfast is varied enough to satisfy any dietary preferences. and pool is small but heated.
Last Cabin on the starboard side before the Lido deck opens. Very quiet and comfortable
Good place to start and end a cruise. We came in the day before and stayed for three nights after the cruise.
Just did a walk around and window shopping. Fun, eclectic place.
Great Beach Day at Seven-Mile Beach. Just take a cab out and back
Our place to shop for Talavera pottery and ugly Christmas ornaments (it's an annual thing where we exchange travel-based ornaments with our neighbors!).
