We booked this cruise with several other couples so had friends on board but met many new couples and enjoyed this cruise because of the Gaither Gospel Music with about 25 singers on board.
We had a partial ocean view cabin that allowed us to see the sea or land depending and it was definitely large enough. This ship went to St Thomas, Bahamas,San Juan and Half Moon Cay. We walked around Nassau so no excursions. In San Juan and St Thomas we did bus tours of the city as my wife had back surgery a few months ago and we felt it would be difficult for her to walk alot. Normally I try to see what I can do locally with excursions, but this trip stayed with the cruise line excursion. I think they were ones I would skip the next time and get local excursions. One in San Juan stopped at the convention center ( waste) while I wanted to spend more time in Old San Juan. So I think this would have been better. In St Thomas the tour was better but they took us to several look outs with stores to buy things so again could have spent more time touring.
Food was OK. The one dress up night the menu was limited to three entrees instead of 10 so I felt the food selection was not as good, however, the quality of the food was excellent. In the buffet line they are now serving you the salad or other selections instead of letting you pick your own I guess to curb germs. So lines tended take longer. There was always enough tables for meals either inside or outside.
walked around and shopped in the straw market near the pier
City tour stopped at the convention center for 10 minutes and I knew this was not going to be good. a wast of time. Also stopped at the beach, a fort, Plaza of Colon ( best stop) capital and then the ship. We wanted to spend more time in Old San Juan and so should have taken another tour.
got to seethe city for my wife who was recovering form back surgery so this was our only option. stopped at several overlooks and then a large gift store.
