My partner booked this cruise as a surprise so I did not do the usual checking on reviews, wish I had done as probably would not have booked it. I am not one to do a bad review normally, I try to make the best of things but really just wanted to get off the ship as soon as possible. Unfortunately we were booked on for two weeks so had to stay on ship. We have at least 2 cruises a year and I have never done a bad review. Ship was very big and too many people who were extremely rude. At meal times in the buffet restaurant it was not always easy to get a seat on a sea day and people just seemed to push us out of the way. The breakfast was the same every day and was either cold or just tepid. I opted for the cold meat and cheese as was preferable to cold eggs, sausage and bacon (no mushrooms or tomatoes in hot food section). Food at lunchtime was not much better, okay if you are a salad lover as there was always plenty of salads. Evening meal was okay but have had a lot better on other cruise lines. We requested second sitting for evening meal on a shared table and was put on the first sitting on a table for two. After the first week we asked to be moved to a larger table which we got and was put on second sitting. Why ask us what we want and give us the opposite.

The entertainment in the day was very poor and on a sea day we could not find a sun bed as there were orange towels on them all, even though no one was using them for ages. We just went back to our cabin and sat on the balcony.

The excursions out were not good, too much waiting around for tickets and then bring herded down to get off ship like a load of sheep. Read more
