One additional comment was going to make - the attendant and the waiters told us they get no salary but rely on the tips - I have no reason to doubt that - but I think that it shouldn't be up to the staff to tell you that - RCCL should - otherwise you get the slightly awkward conversation when they mention this 
Comments from my partner for whom this was the first time on a large ship - overall experience - good but slightly disappointed in the standard of the food - a very large airy boat - didn't feel at all claustrophobic - disappointed in the shops on board - cabins were really spacious and comfortable - towel animals a definite hit 
Ports of call - will just talk about the ports and area - did not go on many trips - the trips themselves seemed a fraction pricey and was a little doubtful what they gave - going to a beach seemed unnecessary - and not sure how many local villages/beauty spots we wanted to see 
Phillipsburg, St Maarten - very attractive harbor - duty free shopping area by the boat - ferry $6 all day to the main town - attractive - bit cramped - loads of jewelry/perfume etc - not a lot otherwise - cafe/restaurants looked ok - didn't try them - the boardwalk/beach area is very attractive there - possibly the best of all those we saw 
Roseau, Dominica - actual harbor not much - could only take the one boat - any others had to stop couple of miles round a headland - very close to town - no beach - the hills around the town - quite impressive - it was all very green and verdant - we had a bit of rain - actual town a little old fashioned - one of the least developed 
El Guamache, Margarita Island, Venezuela - this just appeared to be a terminal with a beach very nearby - quite a nice beach - you are in the middle of nowhere - there were a load of stalls selling cheapish ornaments and whatever and maybe there were a few sights elsewhere on the Island - but overall I reckon they use this as a stopover to Aruba and possibly one of their cheaper (as far as port coasts go) stopovers 
Oranjestad, Aruba - its quite a flat Island - seemed quite flash compared to Dominica and Margarita Island - loads of shopping and restaurants - it was the most developed spot so far - its not that scenic - though you can see nice beaches to the side - but there is a fair amount of retail areas away from the front as well that appeared to be used by the locals as well 
St Johns, Antigua - quite an attractive harbor - quite well developed in the port - but still quite a locals town away from the front - there was quite a large varied shopping area - unusual for these islands !45) - anyway straight from plane onto buses - no bag collection - no customs - and off to the boat 
Trip from airport - bit rough one side - but the ocean side looked quite nice 
Through check in at the boat - nice new ocean terminal - we could see the people already on board were doing a muster drill - got out of that - phew - quick through terminal - onto boat - first impressions - ok - bit cramped where you came in - room was 7144 - room with balcony - room very nice - more than enough room - could have coped with less - it was more comfortable than might have imagined - I'm sure other lines are comparable for that kind of room - but we thought it was good 
Able to go down to dinner after all - no bags yet - dining room very nice - main waitress Aurora - assistant Ivo - overall first impression - nicely done - we had a good window table - all the silver service stuff in place - menu looked quite good - about 8 choices of main - although we thought that the actual quality might have been a little better - in time we saw that they always had salmon, chicken and Sirloin steak - it was functional - my partner was not keen on the seasoning they applied to a lot of the meals - but I wasn't so bothered 
Anyway after the meal the bags were ready for us - so that was all sorted !
