Sail Date: Feb 2016

My wife and I had a wonderful week on board Jewel of the Seas to celebrate her Leap birthday on February 29th.

We flew WestJet / American from Toronto San Juan on Friday February 26th connecting in Miami. We flew home WestJet (direct) from San Juan to Toronto on Sunday March 6th. The flights were all early and relatively pleasant considering the realities of air travel these days.

We stayed two nights at the Coral Princess on Condado (San Juan). This was our third time staying at the Coral Princess and likely our last. There was no hot water in the mornings and only the option of using a shared shower / washroom on the third floor. It had something to do with their solar panels not working and their back up system also not working. Every stay we have had a hassle getting a room safe despite their claims that they offer them and their request that we ask for them at the time of reservation (which we did). The hotel is reasonably priced for the area, but we decided to cash in some points at stay at the Sheraton Old San Juan next year.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We love San Juan. We always go two nights early to enjoy the city before we board our ship

Aruba

No need to take an excursion. The transit system is top notch and a quick bus ride will take you to Eagle Beach, Palm Beach and many other places. The Street Car is also well worth taking
