First I'll address negatives about the ship posted prior to my voyage. It is a smaller and older ship for sure. In my mind that just led to a great value vacation. Some mentioned odors and I did notice this at times. We always take air freshener and I found pouring a bit of water every day down the floor drain by the toilet took care of any minor smell. There was one issue on deck 8 near the specialty restaurants that never seemed to get resolved.

The pool deck is small and it was hard at times to find shade. On our voyage (14 days back to back) it was quite windy on open decks, certainly not Norwegian's fault. Specialty restaurants seemed to have been shoehorned into the ship as an after thought. The Italian restaurant is not worth the trouble, service was terrible though some of the food was decent. It is walled off from part of the lido for dinner. Cagney's was excellent and Le Bistro was very good. Teppenyaki has a single table and you'd be better off waiting for Benihana's on shore though it wasn't bad.

The private island is very nice, much better than the nearby RCL island we visited a few months ago. It was rough getting ashore but we got in while the RCL ship nearby apparently cancelled.
