10 day cruise. Sailing days filled with presentations on all the "Gem" shopping you could do at ports, would have liked to hear about local artisans, restaurants and museums. Thank goodness I planned excursions at ports as the informational seminars only pushed the "gem market" and shopping. They also pushed the art sales, pictures, gem sales all day long(even during meals in specialty restaurant during meal!!) We really felt a little badgered by the sales pitches, and heard from other first time cruises they felt the same!!
Being a mature cruiser, would have enjoyed more shows during the daytime. There was only one venue for shows. Music in open air bar area was OK. On sailing days we found ourselves having to find ways to entertain ourselves as there seemed very little to do unless you wanted to spend a bunch more money at casino and Gem shops.
Since this cruise left from NY it was filled with running screaming children. The staff did not seem to enforce any of the ship's rules. I chose this cruise line based on the adult areas, recognized quite hours etc. Very disappointed none of this really existed. Parents did not control children and much of the staff seemed to be bothered by the patrons.
had a great hostess and learned all about the area
snorkeling great but wish we had more time to enjoy island and not spend so much time getting to beaches and marinas etc. Food offered as part of package was nothing special and there was not enough for everyone
booked an all day excursion. Loved learning about the island and seeing all the beaches. Wish we had more time to snorkel!! Loved the crew!! Snacks were great!!
neat area. does get a little crowded as all the tourists are being shipped over here. All staff persons were very nice!!
Boarding seemed to be rasonable
