We had our doubts after our first Celebrity cruise 10 years ago but because we liked the itinerary we decided to give them another go. I don't know who thinks Celebrity are a 5 star line, not this ship, very old and tired , our balcony was dirty and rusty, paint e peeling around the door frame onto the carpet, the bed skirt was old and torn and the metal bedstead underneath was patched up with sellotape, presumably to prevent damage to your shins as you squeezed past at the end of the bed! The worst designed and dingiest cabin we have had on more than 10 cruises with other companies.

The public rooms were in a much better condition but strange dark areas which would never entice us to sit in them. Food was ok, just. Buffet was good for breakfast and lunch ( but only American-style bacon and that wasn't crispy), it was mostly deserted at night as choices very limited apart from pizza and pasta. The main dining room has the strangest concoctions but we managed to find something most nights but not great and service was very variable depending on which area you were sat in - we had Select dining, but must say that we did not ever have to wait to be seated., which was a first.

The entertainment was ok, it kept us occupied and amused most of the time but it was never 'great' where we have been amazed on other ships and would have paid extra to see some of the spectacular shows, not here though.
