This was our 6th cruise; and the second and probably last on Carnival. It's not that there was anything particularly *bad* about this cruise experience, it's just that my wife and I have found we consistently like other lines we have been on better.

Some highlights -

Our travel party included my daughter and 4-year-old grandson. We took a 3-day Disney cruise last year with them, as well, and I wondered how this longer Carnival cruise would suit for our little grandson. While there were not as many child-oriented activities as on Disney, of course, there was plenty for him to do, both with his mom, and "on his own" at Camp Ocean. When he was at Camp Ocean, Mom was given a phone to carry so she could be called if needed, and there were even video monitors where she could watch how he was playing.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4C

Our interior cabin was fine. It was very far forward, and sometimes we had some vibrations from side-thrust maneuvers when docking or undocking, but mostly it was very comfortable.

Port Reviews

Montego Bay

A very nice family outing.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Awesome visit to Stingray City

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Very nice facility and activities

Cozumel

Visited Playa Uva on our own (via taxi ride) for snorkeling. Excellent!!

Galveston

Slow debarkation seems to cause bad traffic problems on the street and in the check-in area.
