Sail Date: Feb 2016

This was our first time on an inaugural season sailing and we waited a few months due to both scheduling factors and giving them time to work out the kinks! We have previously sailed on NCL Dawn (twice), Breakaway, and Epic (in addition to cruising multiple times on other cruise lines).

I read many complaints about the size of the ship and the number of people ... which fascinates me because the information is available before booking!! Mega ships aren't for everyone, and certainly if I didn't have an active 10-year-old sailing with me I can see the allure of the smaller or mid-sized ships. But for a family with kids, the activities that the Escape offers are highly desirable. We ended up with a vacation with many pros and very few cons.

Miami

Did not "tour" Miami. Stayed overnight in Hilton Downtown pre-cruise and left immediately from cruise ship back to FLL airport.
