We enjoyed our time on the Jewel. We had a balcony cabin on Deck 9, starboard.
Shore excursions: Took four ships tours. Cabo, Guatemala and Puntarenas - no complaints. The shore excursion to Leon could have been better. The guide was mediocre.
Dining: Overall, we thought food was excellent. We visited the buffet on occasion. visited Tsars Palace mostly - we were very pleased with quality and quantity of food.

Balcony
Cabin: overall B+
Faucet in sink in bathroom had terrible water pressure and you had to wait for hot water and then it was VERY hot. If you turned it slightly back toward cold, that is what you got. Maintenance came by but we just suffered through. Shower was perfecto!
Our steward, Dipesh, was just the right amount of friendly and attentive yet unobtrusive.

Saw numerous whales. Guide was great. Others on the excursion were fun. Recommend.

We walked all around the old market, old town, ate in a local tiny eatery. just enjoyed the day
Puerto Quetzal (Antigua)
We enjoyed the shore excursion to Antigua. Lovely old city.

Cartagena (Colombia)
took a cab into town and wandered around for about 2 hours.
then asked taxista to take us to where the regular folks live. He drove us around to severla areas and even to a grocery store.
Would like to plan a visit to Colombia and spend some time inCartagena.
Los Angeles
Came into LAX and used ExecuCar for the four of us to get to San Pedro. Stayed at Best Western Plus. Had a problem with our reservatioin but they made it right which is all you can ask a hotel to do. We persevered and so did they.
