First Cruise and NOT the last cruise!!!
Booking the suite also included breakfast and lunch at one of their special restaurants - Cagney's. The breakfast had a buffet layout of smoked salmon, cold meats, grapefruit, cereals, etc. as well as hot entrees from the menu.
We enjoyed trying the different special restaurants. We definitely recommend paying the extra $10, $15 or $25 per person to eat More dinner. We tried one of the main dining rooms once without the extra charge, but were very disappointed with the food. Everything tasted very bland and was clearly inferior to the food we ate at the special restaurants. The service, however, was great everywhere we went in the cruise ship.
As for excursions, we decided not to book any this time around. Instead, we went shopping at Port Lucaya (Freeport) and Nassau. With the help of the NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) sales consultant who wandered the various jewelry stores, we managed to snag a great deal on a diamond pendant and diamond earrings set. The last port, which is NCL's private island, was amazing. We relaxed and frolicked on the beach, took a nap on the hammock, and enjoyed a delicious barbeque provided by the cruise.
The entertainment included an assortment of activities and shows. We really enjoyed the game shows and comedy hour.
Embarkation and Disembarkation were relatively easy and painless.
We had such a good experience for our first cruise, that we plan on booking an NCL cruise again! Less
