The Emerald was in great shape. We had concerns after reading post dry-dock complaints. But we experiencd no issues. Our balcony cabin on Baja aft, was the quietest cabin we have experienced in 8 cruises! The new bed was great...more storage then in any other cabin in our cruise experience. Water, plumbing, A/C was all fine. Room steward Kim was excellent.

The public spaces were all updated and fresh. The Piazza is beautiful and relaxing. The Princess theatre was somewhat in need of updating and just seemed generally dull looking.

On our 2 sea days we stayed at the aft pool ( adults only) and the outrigger bar was good.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We always fly in at least a day before oir cruise. We spent 2 nights at the Doubletree Sawgrass Mills and was excellent.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Went to Royal Palms beach day resort. Expensive but nice location.

Princess Cays

Great beach day. Get on first tenders. Best lounging area is over by the pier on far left as you come off tenders. Very good snorkeling around this small pier with lots of fish and clear water.
