I happen to love this class of ship with RCCL. The shopping promenade is a nice stroll when you feel like taking a walk, I love the ice shows and the theatre layout. Cabins are normal RCCL layouts. ...nothing fancy, but okay. The ship itself could use refurbishment...carpets in hallways are very " tired" looking. There was frequently a sewer odor on the 8th floor in the hallways. Did not permeate my room. I am a " diamond" Crown and Anchor member....have taken almost 50 cruises on five different lines. I will cruise four different lines this year, so I feel I have good perspective in comparison.

First the bad.....I HATE the buffet. Unfortunately on port days, you are forced to eat there if you are on board for lunch. This was an eight day cruise and only once the entire trip ( breakfast or lunch) was I ever offered a beverage at my table by a server in the Windjammer.....trust me, this is a big service cut. As far as the food, I am not in the mood for " hot" food at lunch like pork chops, roast, etc....a scoop of tuna fish, chicken salad, egg salad, etc would be welcome. The desserts have also become very cheap using poor quality ingredients....no more Ranger cookies!

Dining Room food was very good BUT they have gotten very skimpy on serving portions. ( of course you could ask for more). Twice my protein portion was under 3 ounces. I consistently watch my diet and weigh food, so believe me I am good at "eyeballing" it....I am not a huge eater, so I never left hungry but they can not cut any more and should have been embarrassed. " where's the beef?"
