We sailed on the Dawn from New Orleans to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, and Costa Maya. I cannot believe all of the bad reviews about this ship. We did not have one experience worth complaining about, and the crew and experience overall was amazing. We had only cruised on Carnival before, and to be honest, I am not sure we will go back to them. We were very impressed with the Dawn and NCL. Our group consisted of my husband and I, our five year old son, and my 29 year old step daughter.

Instead of offering a play by play of our week, I am taking a slightly different approach to this review:

Embarkation – This was the easiest embarkation process ever! We got their early, and perhaps that made a difference. But we were done with the check in process in a matter of minutes. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. By 11:40am, we were on the boat, dropping off our bags in our room.

Very nice and large. It was an accessible room, so there was plenty of space for the four of us.
