I've seen so many bad reviews of this ship and just need to put my two cents in. This is a great little ship for a 5 day cruise. A cruise is what you make of it. your on vacation, make it fun.
we had to fly into Tampa for this cruise. we got to the port quickly from the airport. beware the taxi drivers we had think they are in a nascar race which is good when wanting to get quickly to the fun and quickly back to the airport to catch your plane ride home. but we got to the pier early and had no lines or waiting to get on board.
of course we quickly went to Windjammers. the food was delicious. not sure why so many people complain about the food. you have to remember how many people they cook for. my husband being retired military cook knows you can't make things to spicy or too seasoned for people because not all can handle it you have to meet in the middle. plus that is why there is salt and pepper on the tables so you can add to suit your needs. but i thought all the food was great in the windjammer, park cafe and dining room.
Love loved loved our location and room for this quick little cruise!! can not rave more about the location. we were in the perfect spot for the dining room and a quick elevator ride to the windjammer. we were mid ship and a few steps to all the action you want on a cruise ship.
I've look for a lot of reviews to see what this port was like. everyone says its a twenty minute ride to and from the airport. we didn't hit any traffic on the day we cruised. it felt like a quick ride from the airport to the cruise like 10 minutes. its a flat rate of $25 which is cheaper then what royal caribbean was charging which was $21 per person.
fun trolley ride through Key West with information about the Key West started and the ghosts that live there.
