We like cruising out of San Juan. It's real easy to get on the ship and the Old Town section is right across the street from the pier if you want to check out San Juan after dropping off the luggage. If you have priority boarding (platinum--diamond or FTTF) you can get on the ship and drop off you carry on bags and go back out on the town since ship doesn't sail until 10 pm.

We had a balcony cabin on the Lido and had a great steward. The Lido is very close to the pool, Buffet, Guy's Burgers & Taco/Burrito bar. The entire cruise was nice except for the MDR breakfast. We found the food to be a let down from previous years. The waffles were a little cool and soft like they had been sitting in the kitchen. The poached eggs were always good except this cruise when the yokes were hard and not runny. The MDR dinners were good and the steak house was awesome as always. Go to the steak house the first night and receive a bottle of wine for your table. We had 8 in our group and we got 2 bottles.

Getting off the ship was real easy also. This was the first time cruising that passengers were allowed off before 8 am. Cabs were also plentiful out front of the terminal. Standard one way fee of $21.00

We had a balcony on the Lido deck. We love the balconies for sunsets, sunrises and waiting for your shower time. I like to watch the water to see sea life.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We like walking around Old Town before cruise to try local foods

St. Thomas

Shopped and walked around port

St. Maarten

This was our second beach day. We went to the Dutch side and took a water taxi over to the area of the beach. You will see many people trying to sell you beach space with a umbrella & chair. We got a good deal on the beach chairs straight out from the Lazy Lizard. There was also a small food place next to the lazy Lizard that had awesome fish & chips with a great salad. Fish was grouper and loaded with crispy fries. Great beer prices on buckets of your choice. $10 for 5 beers on ice. We drank Carib Beer which is close to Corona but better. Lazy Lizard has food but was full when we wanted to eat.

Barbados

Caught a cab in the port area and went to private beach on the island. Beach was nice but there weren't many chairs but some trees were there to get in shade

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Just went around sight seeing

St. Lucia

Just caught a cab and did some sight seeing and shopping
