We had a great time on Allure of the Seas. As many other reviews have stated, the ship is HUGE. I never really felt like it was overcrowded though, except for 1 day at sea when they closed the upper pool deck because of wind, that day was tough to find an open pool chair. Embarkation went very smooth, arrived at the port around 11:15 am and was on the ship by 12:15pm. We got adjoining rooms on deck 9 (9102 & 9104). The rooms were oceanview located at the front of the ship, nice view, but felt a lot of movement on those windy days. Our room attendant was OK, not bad, but not great either.

We found the food to be OK as well, the selection at the Windjammer never really seemed to change. The food in the main dining room was good as well. The service in the main dining room was excellent! Our waiter, Jean, was outstanding. The asst waitstaff, Suzanna and Reginald, were outstanding as well. Jean went out of his way every meal to make sure our dining experience was great. The shows that we saw, Mama Mia and Blue Planet were both great. The ports of call were great, with the exception of Nassau. We booked the Sea Lion Swim in St Thomas and could not recommend it enough, a little expensive, but worth every penny. In St Martin we took a cab to Maho Beach to see the planes land, great time but pretty crowded. We did some snorkeling and headed back to the Philipsburg.

The only cons we had on the cruise was an apparent lack of communication at times between guest services and the passengers. We had reservations to see Ocean Aria, but it had to be postponed due to weather, it was way too windy. We were never told when it was re scheduled and we missed the performance. The other issue was with the Photo Center. We checked our professional photos on the last night of the cruise and realized that our previous night's pictures were missing, we were told they were working on it and they would be up later that night or we could purchase them the next morning before disembarkation. The next morning we were told that all photographs fro the cruise had been discarded and there was no way to purchase pictures. Bummer.
