Port Canaveral is great for embarking on what should be a wonderful cruising week! The NCL Spirit is an adequate vessel, although it could use many updates and refurbishings. The specialty restaurants are very good, but not quite up to par with some of the newer ships. Food at the buffet was adequate, but almost always cold. Seating was no problem.

I can only speak for our room steward, who was the worst one I've ever experienced on any cruise line! We had no idea who he was until the 2nd night out! Continuous requests for ice with no results, dirty glassware/dishes remained in room for 2 days. Although we were supposed to have pool towels provided in our cabin, we never received any, even after several requests.

The excursions were great; disembarkation at 2 of our stops was a nightmare! Long, long lines with over an hour wait to disembark, cutting shore time down by over an hour. Entertainment was good, but certainly not even close to that of the larger ships. Most of the other scheduled activities are the same as the other NCL ships, so no surprises there. Not sure what happened to their famous "White Hot Party"........very little said about it.

Mid-Ship Balcony

Adequate, but definitely required a good cleaning!! Areas of mold in shower area need to be addressed, and desk mirror was very dirty.
