On arriving at Tilbury for our in search of the Northern light cruise, our cases were taken porter, into the boarding area, within minutes called to board Magellan, on board quickly. Escorted to our cabin, this was a first well done CMV, cases outside waiting. M&M luggage label missing, reported to reception, flippant receptionist told us to claim on insurance, CMV does not take responsibility for luggage!!!!.

On going into cabin, smell of diesel over powering, could not get in until ship sailed. When Magellan refuelled, diesel smelled appeared again and again. What brain of Britain decided to put A/C and heating controls in the ceiling is beyond comprehension. We paid for a outside cabin with a window, however the window was filthy dirty from the Amazon cruise and was not cleaned in our 14 days aboard, would have booked an inside cabin.

Lack of lifts, some sections had 4 lifts only 2 working, you had to wait forever to get a lift. Walking up the stairs was like climbing a mountain, so steep, still the exercise was good.
