This was our second cruise with Thomson and you get what you pay for basically. I've just read one negative review that made me determined to put my views on record. The review I have just read banged on about lack of standards, poor food, poor entertainment. Reading between the lines this reviewer wanted Cunard services for Thomson prices!!! get real matey.

Yes the ship is a bit tired and in need of a facelife here and there, but it was spotlessly clean. The cleaners were hoovering at midnight!!! the food is edible, and not slop or canteen like. All the staff were polite, happy and helpful. What more can you want?

we purchased the drinks package before we departed and it was well worth it. I would recommend anyone planning a cruise to give this serious consideration. Thomson I understand are also the only cruise operator NOT to charge you an additional 200-300 dollars for gratuities, which after talking to some seasoned cruisers, was one of the plusses for them having had their fingers burned with some of the bigger operators.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was an inside one, bit on the small side but as we don't tend to spend much time in our cabin, not really an issue.
