I have never had a bad cruise with some of my favorites on NCL. This past September I had a fantastic cruise on the Sky. I have been on the Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and the Epic so I am familiar with large ships. I found myself disappointed with the Getaway which I picked for the water slides, etc. as we had a number of teens in our group.

Food service in the dining rooms had the longest waits I've ever experienced. Our first dinner took one hour to receive our first course. We were always in the dining room at 5:30pm and learned to tell our waiter we had a 7:30pm show scheduled. That was the only way to receive faster service. I found the menu choices have experienced quite a cutback. The last night we ate at the Tropicana. I wanted to order the full lobster but didn't know how to properly take the meat out of the shell. I asked our waiter if she could do it for me and she replied that she didn't know how to do it.

Our cabin steward consistently left dirty dishes in our cabin and didn't replace the beach towels when they were used except for one time. I found myself in the restroom on deck 7 along with two other women - all of which were yelling about no toilet paper in their stalls. I have never experienced that in 13 cruises.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BX

The cabin was great but the smallest balcony I've seen. Cleanup by the cabin steward was average.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

great day

Ocho Rios

the kids thought this was the best

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

the day was cut short due to weather. The ship canceled their stingray excursion so I was glad I booked privately. The weather was great with calm seas.
