I think I will start with Embarkation. Rosa and I travel from Newcastle by shuttle bus so we always arrive relaxed. As usual at 11.30 the line of passengers reached the big tree. As usual the crown and Anchor came to the rescue and ushered us thru to the check in up the elevator to the customs, thru the xray cruise picture taken and on board in 15 minutes. This is a regular procedure, so join the CandA. Windjammer for lunch, down to deck 3 to check our dining table, up to deck 10 to see if our room was ready. YES. checked out on the balcony, Relaxed for an hour, made a cup of coffee, checked outside and our bags had arrived. I think it was the Cruise Critic stickers on them that got them so fast. So by 3pm we had unpacked, and out to check the ship.

Since the ships makeover, it is so clean and fresh and the decor is magic. She looks the best of all our RCI cruises. We are senior cruisers, so the entertainment for us is the theater and the ice shows, and watching people and their enjoyment. All the service was top, especially our cabin attendant, Vince making us feel so welcome and really special people. A great guy.

We went ashore on our own, we had visited the ports before, so a little shopping was enough. The dining was ok but not a great menu variety. If you wanted more the magic Windjammer was you answer. An incredible variety and quantity of food, unbelievable. We arent drinkers and we noticed the bars were always full, so with 4000 passengers I guess delays are normal.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

This was the eye opener for us.We have always had ocean view balconies but this was our first JS We had such a lovely time enjoying all that extra space, with the walk in robe, the bath, the extra lounge chairs, bigger balcony. Outside, the hall ways were wider and all the new carpets, we were only 2 doors from the Royal suite, so felt very special. This would not have been the same without Vince our room attendant who was an exceptional friendly and caring person who would do anything for you at any time. He looked after 10 cabins but we were treated as though we were the only ones
