This is my 2nd with Carnival and 3rd overall. Also, we did not do any excursions because my wife is 5 months pregnant so this review will be somewhat incomplete.

Embarkation - Do not and I repeat do not get to the Port before 1:30 pm unless you like to wait in lines. If you get there before 1:30, you have no reason to complain about the embarkation process. There is no need to get there any sooner. You have 7 days to look around the ship. The process itself was very smooth and easy. Drop off your luggage first then go park. Love the covered parking. We received our luggage by 6:00 pm. It's no big deal when you get it anyway as long as you get it, which you will.

Public rooms - The ship is gorgeous, colorful, and very clean. In all ports I observed staff members cleaning continuously. The ship is laid out very similar to that of the Victory but on a much larger scale. Yes there is only one floor that goes the entire length but I don't see that as big nuisance. Yes, there are lines at times for the elevators but what do you expect when there are 3000 people on a ship?! What's the big hurry anyway? Remember, you are on a VACATION!! RELAX! There were lines for the elevators on Royal Caribbean when I sailed on them last year too. So expect it.
