This was our 3rd time on the Getaway since Sept 2014. From the moment we entered to board the ship you could tell something had changed! The lady who we registered with was just plain rude and I guess having a bad morning and did not care who knew it. There were not people out to greet us as we boarded the ship and those who were out did not seem in a good humor at all! We just did the Pearl this past New Years for the Miami/ Panama Canal round trip and it is was the best time ever and the staff was awesome so I guess that is why the Getaway trip was so shocking! Plus being our 3rd time we were so shocked! We have always been treated so well on NCL no matter which ship!

We only eat in the specialty restaurants the food was not bad but not the normal we are used too. The wait service was not the normal and has REALLY gone down! Only one time did anyone ask from management how our meal was (this was so not the normal); we were on for first week of the menu changes and the only thing we missed was the removal of the plantains at Moderno and hope they will bring them back. Not once was I offered sprinkling water all flat water. Only once in La Bristo was a chair pulled out. And the kicker ocean blue leaves a message about the dress code and this is a specialty restaurant blah blah - REALLY - I know this may sound petty but we know how to dress and of course we know it is not free and upgrade. I am sorry but I was insulted to the max and just cancelled; by the last night I was over it - lol.

We spent over $12,000 on this trip on the ship and other than in the spa and in the casino we were treated with a rude and just don't care if you are here or not on the ship - it was shocking and very sad. Read more
