This is our second cruise with Carnival and it is our last. We knew what better to expect this time around so we were better prepared.

The food started out on the first night very promising. We had high hopes of what to expect but it quickly deteriorated for the next 4 days. We like to eat in the dining room as much as possible because I don't like buffets and using utensils after other people with colds and illness have used them. Romeo was our waiter and was the best part of this sad experience. The food was mediocre at best and never ever hot. Lots of the same items that remind me of sub-standard food you would find by re-heating a frozen entree. It was very hit and miss and overall a disappointment. Gone are the days of "lobster night." If you want lobster now, it will cost you $20.00 additional. (no chocolate on your pillow at bed time either folks) On the bright side, I did lose a few pounds.

Our room (6310) has seen better days as well. The hallway to our room smelled of raw sewage every single day we were there. When I put my clothes away in the cupboard provided, I found a very nice black sequined jacket left from the previous guest. Carnival literally disembarked previous passengers and loaded the next passengers on the same day. Our TV was at least 10 years old and so was the dust around it. Not the cleanest room we have ever been in. We shared this room with our 2 sons who slept in the bunk beds. My oldest son complained of a back ache every morning due to the poor quality of the mattress. Our bed was tolerable but the mattress needed to be replaced as well.

Could have been cleaner and updated. Showing serious signs of wear.
