My wife and I had a wonderful time on this cruise. I was a little bit worried because of many of the negative reviews, but we had a wonderful experience. Embarkation was very smooth - it took us about 10 or 15 minutes to sign in and then get on the ship (we got on the ship around 1:00 pm). Our cabin was ready - our steward did a fine job of taking care of the cabin. We had the drink package as our perq and think this turned out to be a very good deal. The winds were quite high on all 4 days at sea (mostly from 30 to 50 knots) and, as a result, the pool was closed most of those days. The captain said that the highest waves we experienced were just over 20 feet for a 5 hour period. Despite that, we didn't get sea sick (we each used half a promethazine the day with the highest waves - I tried a scop patch one day, but pulled it off because of the dry mouth side effect).

Food was excellent. We ate in Windows one night and, as others have mentioned, the service was a bit slow. We ate in the Gardens a couple of nights and the service was better. We ate in the complimentary Asian restaurant and the service was excellent and the food was fine (assuming you like Chinese food). We ate in Cagney's (great food and service), Le Bistro (also great food and service), and Teppanyaki (food was good - this may be more fun if you are in a large group - we were a couple who were combined with a large group that had really been taking advantage of their drink package - so it was meh).

We usually ate breakfast at the buffet and it was good. We ate breakfast at Windows one morning and it was essentially the same as the buffet.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Oceanview Picture Window

Cabin OB

Cabin, as expected, was small; however, the layout of the cabin was very efficient. Shower was larger than on other ships. Our toilet worked fine. We had no unpleasant smells and, despite the rough seas, all the doors and drawers stayed shut and silent. The picture window was a very nice size and its presence probably contributed to not feeling any sea-sickness on the trip despite the winds and seas.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

We were in a group of 16 - including 10 coast guard members who spent their day off on a water adventure... go figure! We kayaked through a mangrove lagoon to reef where we snorkeled for about 30 minutes. Then we took about a 1 mile walk to a blowhole. Finally, we kayaked back to the beginning. We had a wonderful guide and a fun adventure.

Nassau

Fun and good exercise - prepare for a lot of walking.

Tortola

Nice open cab/tram ride around the island. We saw a few beaches and then stopped at Cane Garden Bay Beach - but only for about 15 minutes. If we had it to do over again, we would have just taken a cab to the beach and spent the day there.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Didn't do anything at Port Canaveral other than embark and disembark, but the port was very efficient. We parked at the Radisson, which was about half the price of the port parking lot.
