This being our third Grand Princess experience, we were disappointed to see that she is starting to look a bit worn, the cabin steward Jose' was really great, so obliging and always with a smile.... we had a bathroom flooding, with a burst pipe, which was a bit messy, however, the crew attended to it quickly.
The Horizon buffet, was rather dismal, compared to other Princess cruises, quite boring and some of the trays were quite empty. at times,..... the service was good in the dining room, with a short wait, between courses..... embarcation at San Francisco was really chaotic, we wouldn't ever consider either leaving or returning from that port again, which, may NOT be a fair assessment, as the super bowl added to the confusion.... the cruise was enjoyable, but, not what we have previously experienced with Princess, over the years that we have traveled with them.... I should mention, the Argonout Hotel in San Francisco, was excellent, although a bit pricey, however,I understand , that all the hotels in that city, especially around the vicinity of Fisherman's wharf are expensive.
The entertainment on deck and in the lounges, was good, the staff worked hard to keep us entertained, ... the comedian in the theatre, was Not very good, I.M.O., we left after 30 minutes, on anther occasion, we had to get to the theatre one hour early, in order to find a seat, where we noticed, that some people were HOLDING seats, for up to six people!! which , isn't supposed to be allowed??... I'm sorry. if I'm giving the impression, that we are full of complaints, however, We have been asked for our honest opinion, of this trip, and it certainly won't deter us from booking with Princess again.
Cabin was clean although, a bit tired looking, was well positioned on the ship , and was quiet. the balcony, was a good size with reclining lounges and footstools
