We had a WONDERFUL time on the NCL Jade! It's a beautiful ship & has very nice, helpful & hardworking crew. We always saw someone or the other cleaning around the ship. The service was great!! The staff was always willing to help out & served with a smile, especially Komang (our Cabin Steward), Nikola (Blue Lagoon), Neale (Buffet & Grand Pacific Dining room), Geoffery (Le Bistro), Siti (Moderno), Faisal Malik (Assistant Maitre D') among many others.

We loved the 'anytime Dining & freestyle cruising' that NCL is famous for, especially with the little ones! The shows were good (especially Elements & Comedy show) & live music at various places (atrium, pool, restaurants, lounges) was nice. Philly Joel the cruise director & his crew were great. Rest of the crew were all good as well.

Our kids absolutely Loved the Kids/Youth Club (Splash academy) & didn't want to leave! They had different themes on different days/nights & did lots of activities/games,face painting, sports, etc. including a fun little circus show with all the kids from the club (the leaders helped them practice various skills ahead of time). The Kids' Club Leaders/Counselors were very caring & made sure that the kids were having fun & were well taken care of at all times! Among many other family friendly activities, they also had Pizza Making one day & Cupcake Decorating another day, for parents & kids to participate in together.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Our Inside Cabin was fine. It was small but clean, comfortable & adequate with lots of storage. We had No complaints. 1 Tip... bring an alarm clock (or use the Cabin phone for Wake Up Calls) & a night light if you like (since there were no windows in our cabin, it got pitch black when we switched the lights off ).

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Nice port! We walked off the ship & walked around the shops in the cruise terminal. Then we took a cab from outside. Our cab driver recommended Carlos & Charlies' Beach Club so we went there. It was fun! The beach chairs/Loungers, etc were Free. The food & drinks were good. We didn't opt for it but activities such as parasailing, massages were also available on the beach.

Houston

It's about a 45-60 min ride from IAH airport to Bayport Cruise Terminal. Cab ride is expensive...so a Rental car, Super Shuttle or Sharing a Cab or Super Shuttle with fellow cruisers could be a more cost effective option. Embarkation was ok.

Belize City

This was a Tender port so yes, it took some time to get off the ship & get to the port. (We were in no rush though, so we didn't get up WAY early to get tender tickets....we just waited for Open Tender). The process was smooth & organized. We felt we had enough time to take a city tour (in a clean, air conditioned private van booked through Belize Caribbean Tours) & get back to the Cruise terminal & shop around for souvenirs, etc. before getting a tender back to the ship. Our cab driver/guide CLIFFORD was very good. He was very knowledgeable, professional & gave us a nice, detailed tour of the city. He got us back to the terminal well in time.
