We have relatives in Florida so they took us to the port and had to drop us off fairly early. We arrived at the port at about 9:45 am and we went directly to the Carnival portion of the port and checked in immediately. We had to wait for a little while, but it was in a comfortable area and it was very easy and quick to check in. Got on the ship around 11:30 and had lunch by the pool.

The ship is very nice. I am not sure why people have said it is ugly or tacky, both my wife and I thought it was beautiful. The only negative to the ship was you sometimes had to go up or down decks to get from the front to the back of the ship, but that is very small. I did not like the pool area as much as some of the other ships we have been on, the stadium style of seating kind of gave it a chopped up feeling, but that is just my little opinion.

The staff that we came in contact with during were almost all fantastic with the only bad one was the bartender in the Cabinet bar who seemed he was not happy with his career choice at that moment. Our cabin steward was fantastic and remembered our little special requests all week long. She always seemed to be able to handle all the tasks without ever interrupting our day. The only time we saw here was in the mornings in the hallway when she smiled and said hello to our 5 year old.

Cabin Review

Great storage and room. We had shelves that went unused even though we were packed for a 7 day trip for 3 people. Very comfortable.
