we booked this cruise because they had it on sale for $299.00 ppr.we have been on carnival 10 times, and royal Caribbean 2 times so we wanted to see what ncl was all about when usually this is a high end priced cruise boy what a mistake!!!. i will be honest. the ship is a very beautiful ship. probably the nicest we ever been on, then the cruise began, 1st the food is horrible. basically the food in the buffet is very sloppy and very lazy put together,no variety or theme. We found it bland and overcooked or undercooked. Finding a table to eat at is both insufficient in the amount needed, the chairs on the brink of breaking. the food in the aqua dinning room is among the worst i have ever seen, example,we order the lobster, grouper dinner. the lobster was grilled to almost saw dust and the fish after taking one bite still had all its scales that was nasty and jazzy. my wife ordered the scallops and they where the size of a blackeye pea. we laughed are asses of so did the other guest.what a joke that was it for the week in that dinning room and its only sunday not a good sign. so all week we where feed slop at the lazy prepared buffet line or hamburgers, we had 1 good meal at the salsa restaurant, but we had to pay for that $38.00. ncl should be ashamed of themselves!!!. they make the food so bad, they basically make you pay for good food which i can get for free on carnival. the inside cabin was ample for 2 no more than that.the ship creaks and walls pop all night long very loudly. i heard since that big wave hit it in 2005 it has never been the same. the tv is 13in lol.but the room is decorated nice.2. the crew is not as friendly as carnival or royal.they seem uptight all the time.the crew does the dawn a disservice.1st port samana. look what a joke. we did the whale watching we almost died.the waves where 15ft to 20ft tall and it should have been canceled but you don't cancel one if you have 200 people at a $100.00 a pop not when you nickel and dime people. they wouldn't give up $20,000.00 for our safety. people where screaming and very scared. The trip only lasted 20min instead of 3hrs. no refunds was giving when it clearly should have been canceled.that ended our day at 11am.thats bad. day 2 usvi. was ok at the beach until we saw our ncl driver smoking pot and drinking. day 3 bvi was awesome the beach was great and the whole excursion was really worth the money. 3 stop great stirrup cay , took 2hrs to tender the ship what a joke. 2 tender to get off 1500 guest.that is stupid, got in line at 7am to get a tender ticket and then lined up at 10 am to get off,got on the tender at 1145am otherwise we had burgers and hot dogs again, beach was nice and very crowded.entertainment was the only great thing on the ship. The beat ever.please go on another cruiseline,, we felt like we did not have a vacation and wasted a week and a cruise vacation on ncl... never again not even if it was free
