Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

My wife and I flew to San Juan on February 4, two days before our cruise on the Adventure of the Seas. We've learned that midwest winter weather can really play havoc with your travel plans, so we always try to build in a cushion of a day or two. Spending two relaxing days at the Marriott got us fully charged up for our cruise.

On Saturday morning, it was a $20 cab ride to the pier, and even at 11:30 am, there was a long line, but the line moved very quickly and we were on board by 12:15 pm. We were told that our cabins would not be available until 2 pm, so we headed up to the Windjammer Cafe on the 11th deck for lunch. By shortly after 2 pm, we were in our cabin, my wife having the chance to unpack her suitcase, while mine was not delivered for a few more hours. We spent a couple of hours in the Solarium, which had two large hot tubs.

The muster drill was a little frustrating, since it lasted over 45 minutes, and at our muster station, we could not understand most of the information and instructions since the echo in the PA system made it impossible to hear.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Nice balcony, lots of closet and drawer space for our clothes. The bathroom was plenty big enough and the temperature setting on the shower was perfect, and you never had to adjust it. Our cabin steward kept our room spotless and well supplied, and really made an effort to take care of any needs we had.
